Submissions

Papers must be submitted through the RTAS 2027 HotCRP Submission Site no later than:

November 5, 2026, 11:59 PM AoE.

This is a firm deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances, and the deadline will not be extended.

Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure that it complies with all guidelines below. Submissions that violate these policies may be desk-rejected without review.

1. Originality

Papers submitted to RTAS 2027 must describe original work that has not been previously published or concurrently submitted elsewhere. Papers extending previously published workshop papers are welcome. If the workshop paper has a digital object identifier (DOI), the RTAS submission must contain at least 30% new technical material. Authors must disclose the corresponding workshop publication in the submission form.

Plagiarism, duplicate publication, and concurrent submission are serious violations of publication ethics and may result in rejection of the submission and other actions in accordance with IEEE policies.

2. Double-Anonymous Review Requirements

RTAS 2027 uses a double-anonymous review process. All submitted papers must comply with the TCRTS Double-Anonymous Submission Requirements. Submissions that violate the anonymity policy may be desk rejected. Please also consult the TCRTS Double-Anonymous Policy FAQ for additional guidance.

3. Paper Format and Page Limits

Format: Submissions must be formatted according to the standard IEEE conference paper guidelines and use the IEEE conference template with

  • 10pt font
  • Default margins
  • Default line spacing

For LaTeX, please use the IEEE LaTeX template with the following declaration:

\documentclass[10pt, conference]{IEEEtran}

The PC Chair reserves the right to require paper sources (e.g. Latex, Word, etc.) in order to check that formatting guidelines have been adhered to.

Length: The main body of the submission is strictly limited to 11 pages of technical content. Additional pages are permitted only for acknowledgments and references.

Camera-Ready Papers: Accepted papers may use up to 12 pages of technical content to address reviewer feedback. Additional pages remain restricted to acknowledgments and references only.

4. Supplementary Materials

Authors may provide additional technical materials (e.g., source code, data sets, proofs, and short demo videos) to reviewers.

  • How to submit: Upload supplementary materials as a PDF document or a ZIP archive (maximum 600 MB) through the HotCRP submission system. To preserve anonymity, please do not include direct URLs to personal websites, GitHub repositories, cloud storage services, or other publicly accessible resources in the paper. All supplementary materials must also comply fully with the double-anonymous reviewing policy and hence must not give away author identities or affiliations.
  • Reviewer Obligation: Reviewers are encouraged, but not required, to examine supplemental materials. Supplementary materials must not be used to circumvent the paper length limit—the PC chair reserves the right to remove any materials deemed inappropriate under this policy.

5. Generative AI Policy

All papers must comply with the IEEE rules on AI-generated text and the TCRTS Transparency Policy. If generative AI tools were used in preparing the manuscript, authors must explicitly disclose their use in the Acknowledgments section of the submitted paper in accordance with IEEE publication policies.

6. Presentation Requirement

At least one author of each accepted paper must present the paper in person at RTAS 2027. Papers that are not presented will be removed from the IEEE Xplore digital library proceedings. Pre-recorded video presentations are not permitted.
